I'm a behavioral scientist at Northwestern, where I study how leaders and teams produce extraordinary outcomes. Equally fascinated by the inner worlds of NASA astronaut crews as the new world being designed by the Medici bankers in Renaissance Florence. I've spent fifteen summers returning to Italy, and I write about what it keeps teaching me about leading and living well. Someday soon there will be a book, for now, there is a Substack.
