I’m summering in Florence

…with thirty talented Northwestern students. Before I brought students here, I brought my family.

It all began in June of 2009. I applied for my first passport and signed up for a social network analysis workshop in Bertinoro, near Forlì. Could I have taken that workshop in Kentucky? Absolutely. That’s not who I am.

Passport in hand, I set off on my first trip to Italy.
